The written part consists of 40 questions, covers techniques, best practice, and technical aspects of string & racket technology. Only multiple-choice questions are included in this 60-minute online exam.

The practical part covers stringing a racket with 4 knots using a Monofilament correctly in under 60 minutes.

GRSA – CERTIFIED TOUR STRINGER

Take the GRSA – Certified Tour Stringer exam and become a certified stringer. The certification exam consists of two practical parts.

The first part of the exam covers speed and consistency – String 3 rackets (16X19 pattern) in under 60 minutes maintaining a matching DT reading (1 DT point difference is allowed).

The second part of the exam covers customising – Match two frames (weight, static balance and swing-weight) in under 60 minutes.

Take the GRSA – Certified Tour Master Stringer exam and become a certified stringer. The certification exam consists of two practical parts and a written part concerning Tour Stringing Team Management.

The first part of the exam covers speed and consistency – String 3 rackets (18X20 pattern) in under 60 minutes maintaining a matching DT reading (1 DT point difference is allowed).

The second part of the exam covers customising – Customise two frames (weight, static balance and swing-weight) to a specific set of instructions in under 60 minutes.

The third part of the exam covers tour stringing team management – Team size per event, stand measurements, best practice in a tour setting, logistics and everything concerning setting up a WTA or ATP event.

GRSA – GRAND MASTER STRINGER

The Grand Master Stringer Certification is an honorary title given to the most knowledgeable and best stringers in the world. To become a GRSA – GMS the stringer must have at least 10 years’ experience at Grand Slam events and have organised stringing teams for WTA/ATP events. To be awarded this certification is dependent on all other GRSA – GMS certified stringers agreeing to the award and the stringer’s inclusion in this most select club.

This certificate really signifies that the stringer is a reference in any tour stringing room, is open to helping other stringers improve and sharing his/her knowledge and helps hold the art of stringing in the highest regard. This certification is reserved for the cream of the cream of the stringing world!!
