GRSA Annual Global Stringers Conference
The 3rd Annual Global Stringers Conference takes place in the beautiful town of Estepona.
Estepona is a resort town on the Costa del Sol in southern Spain. A palm-lined promenade, the Paseo Marítimo, runs next to the Playa de la Rada beach. Nearby are the restaurants and water sports facilities of Puerto Deportivo, plus a fishing port and the cove of Playa del Cristo. The whitewashed old town centers on the flower-filled square of Plaza de las Flores, home to the eclectic artworks of the Colección Garó.
Estepona is famous for beautifully preserving its authentic Andalusian charm. Known as the “Garden of the Costa del Sol,” it draws visitors and residents with its pristine Blue Flag beaches, exceptional gastronomy, and mild year-round climate.
- The Flowered Old Town: The Centro Histórico is a major attraction, famous for its whitewashed, labyrinthine streets heavily decorated with colorful, color-coded flowerpots and cascading bougainvillea.
- Open-Air Art & Murals: The town functions as an open-air art gallery, featuring dozens of massive murals painted across building facades and a variety of unique street sculptures.
- Stunning Coastline: Estepona boasts 21 kilometers of Mediterranean coastline featuring family-friendly, sandy beaches like Playa de la Rada and the sheltered Playa del Cristo.
- The Orchidarium: This striking botanical park features three glass domes, a 15-meter waterfall, and houses over 5,000 plants, including more than 1,300 species of orchids.
- Exceptional Gastronomy: Located near the Strait of Gibraltar, the town is known for its high-quality, traditional Spanish cuisine, particularly fresh seafood, fried fish (pescaíto frito), and sardine skewers (espetos).
